Norman Taylor SRA Events: Ticket Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Payment Terms

This policy applies exclusively to the sale of tickets for all Norman Taylor SRA ticketed events (Summits, Workshops, Retreats, etc.) and does not apply to our Strategic Risk Advisory (SRA) consulting services.

  • Payment Due: Full payment for all tickets is due upon booking.

  • Invoicing: An invoice will be raised immediately following the booking. Payment terms require the invoice to be settled within 14 calendar days of the issue date.

  • Late/Immediate Bookings: If the event date falls within or before the 14-day payment window, payment is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice. Failure to pay within the stipulated time may result in the cancellation of your registration without notice.

2. Cancellation by Norman Taylor SRA

We reserve the right to cancel any event for any reason, though we strive to avoid this.

  • Event Cancellation (Full Refund): If Norman Taylor SRA cancels an event entirely, attendees will receive a 100% refund of the ticket price paid. We are not responsible for covering any ancillary costs incurred by the attendee (e.g., travel, accommodation, or other related expenses).

  • Event Postponement (Sole Discretion Refund): If an event is postponed to a future date, the original ticket remains valid for the new date. Refunds in the case of a postponement are at the sole discretion of Norman Taylor SRA. Attendees will be notified of the new date, and any refund decisions will be communicated at that time.

3. Changes to Event Details (Date, Time, Location)

Norman Taylor SRA reserves the right to make changes to the event date, time, and specific venue location.

  • Force Majeure: We stress that changes are typically reserved for situations beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, Force Majeure events (e.g., acts of God, extreme weather, government restrictions, public health emergencies, unforeseen speaker illness, or venue unavailability).

  • Notification: We will provide attendees with prompt notice of any significant changes. Ticket refunds are not generally provided due to a change in venue, time, or date, unless the event is formally cancelled (see Section 2).

4. Attendee Cancellations and Refunds

As preparation and venue costs are secured well in advance, our attendee refund policy is strict:

  • 30 Calendar Days or More Before Event: A refund is available, subject to a 25% administration fee deducted from the ticket price.

  • Less Than 30 Calendar Days Before Event: No refunds will be issued.

  • No-Shows: No refunds will be issued for failure to attend the event (a "No-Show").

  • Transfer of Ticket: You may transfer your ticket to another person at no additional cost. The name change must be communicated to us in writing via email at least 48 hours before the event date.

5. Other Standard Terms

  • Limitation of Liability: Our liability to attendees is strictly limited to the price paid for the ticket. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

  • Event Content: We reserve the right to alter the event content, speakers, and schedule at any time due to unforeseen circumstances without notice.

  • Intellectual Property: All materials distributed at the event (slides, handouts, presentations) are the intellectual property of Norman Taylor SRA or the presenting speaker. Recording, sharing, or public distribution is strictly prohibited.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

Norman Taylor SRA will process all personal data provided during the booking process in accordance with our separate, detailed Privacy Policy. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and agree that your data will be used for registration, communication, payment processing, and event administration purposes.

7. Filming, Photography, and Content Use

By attending the event, you consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded. Norman Taylor SRA and its partners may use such recordings and images for promotional, commercial, or professional purposes (including reproduction on websites, social media, and marketing materials) without further notice or compensation.

Strict Confidentiality Exception:

  • This consent is VOID for any event explicitly designated and marketed by Norman Taylor SRA as "Strictly Confidential" or "Closed-Door Advisory Session."

  • For such confidential events, all forms of recording, photography, or disclosure by attendees are strictly prohibited, and all materials are protected under a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) which attendees may be required to sign upon entry.

  • In the case of a Strictly Confidential event, Norman Taylor SRA will not film or photograph any attendees, and any event-related content captured by our team will be for internal use only and will not be shared externally or commercially.

8. Code of Conduct and Right to Refuse Admission

Attendees are required to behave in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Norman Taylor SRA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse admission or remove any attendee who is deemed to be disruptive, harassing, or whose conduct violates the professional nature of the event, without entitlement to a refund.

9. Governing Law

This Event Ticket Refund & Cancellation Policy and any disputes arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of  England and Wales.
